Isocold is able to propose, given the decades of experience gained, the widest range of system solutions for any operating temperature.
Refrigeration systems can be divided into two categories: industrial and commercial refrigeration systems.
Industrial refrigeration systems
Industrial refrigeration systems serve large refrigerated surfaces used for the storage or distribution of products, not only food.
Another important application of industrial refrigeration systems is found in food production processes, for example cooling and freezing tunnels.
The most common refrigerant fluids are freon and ammonia, via direct expansion or forced circulation by pump. Alternatively, a secondary circuit can be created that uses a solution of glycol water (ethylene or propylene) cooled with plate or tube bundle exchangers. Especially for low temperature environments you can also opt for a carbon dioxide refrigerated cascade system.
To cool the rooms, depending on the operating temperatures and applications, unit evaporators with horizontal or vertical exchange coil and water or hot gas defrost can be used.
The management of all our industrial refrigeration systems can also be carried out remotely.
Commercial refrigeration systems
Commercial type refrigeration systems are used in small volume environments or for cooling processing rooms.
Commercial refrigeration systems can be single-user with a condensing unit connected to a unit evaporator (split system), or serving a group of cells with a multi-compressor unit that powers various unit evaporators.
The compressors used are hermetic or semi-hermetic; in some cases, in larger systems, semi-hermetic screw compressors can be used. The refrigerant gas used is direct expansion Freon, which changes type depending on the operating temperatures. Condensation is mainly by air, in some rare cases water cooled by an evaporative tower is used.
The cold rooms are cooled by air evaporators which, depending on the product stored, can be axially or static ventilated, with electric defrosting.
For processing rooms, unit evaporators with centrifugal fans or air handling units connected to cooled air distribution ducts are used.
The management of all our commercial refrigeration systems can also be carried out remotely.
