STORAGE OUT OF DOORS

- If the packs and accessories are to be stored out of doors particular care must be taken when creating the surface on which they will be placed, a surface which must have a lengthwise incline in order to avoid the deposit of humidity.

- Cover with tarpaulins or polythene sheets in the case of adverse weather conditions, but remove such covers when the sun is shining in order to air the packs and avoid the formation of condensation.

- If the panels have a galvanized covering they must be mounted within a few days of delivery; if this should not be possible, the packs should be taken apart, the panels aired (distancing them one from the other): if whitish marks should be noted, clean with a cloth greased with vaseline oil..

STORAGE UNDER COVER

- The materials must be stored in premises which must be covered over and well-ventilated, dust free and completely dry.

- The humidity which may penetrate (rain) or collect (condensation) between one panel an the next may damage the coverings.

- The pre-coated coverings which are further protected by a self adhesive film can resist for a long time as long as they are not in condition of both heat and humidity together.

- The galvanized coverings, on the other hand, may oxidize (with rust) even after a few days, due to electrolytic corrosion if the panels remain in the original packing.

- To store the packs of materials piled one on top of the other, polystyrene foam spacers must be inserted across the way between one pack and the next. The packs must be placed on a surface with an inclination, however slight.

OTHER TOLERACES OF WORKMANSHIP

- Flatness - The panels cannot have perfectly flat faces especially with thin or aluminium coverings; depending on the amount of light hitting them they will show ondulations more or less apparent. These will not therefore be considered a defect as long as they do not compromise the functionality nor the aesthetic value of the panel, and in particular, as regards this last point, of the wall panel.

- Blistering - Certain areas will be tolerated in which the covering does not adhere completely to the foam as long as the total of these areas is not above 0,5% of the surface area of the panel.

- Small discharges of foam from the joint will be accepted if it is possible to remove them in the building yard by simply scraping them off.

- Small tracts will be tolerated where the flexible sealing strip is missing or is not in the correct position as long as it is possible to slot in the joint without difficulty.

SELF-ADHESIVE POLYTHENE

- The correct system for removing the film is to take it off (by undoing the whole width of one end and pulling strongly, then removing residual bits) just before the panel is mounted.

- If the film should be forgotten on the panel once it is mounted, remember to remove it as soon as possible, otherwise (especially in very sunny weather) it will be difficult to take off. Remember furthermore to remove the film inside the overlap, otherwise torn and blackened edges will be seen..
