The PURCEREAL nitrogen generator is used mainly in disinfestation of cereals but also with other stored products. It is connected rapidly to silos containing the product to be treated and into wich inert gas is to be pumped with the aim of disinsect cereals from any kind of insect at any stage of developement. PURCEREAL is attached to a methane gas network (but can also operate with propane or butane) wich is them mixed with equal quantities of air and then pumped into a combustion chambre and burned. The inert gas thus created comprises 86% nitrogen, approximately 13-14% carbon dioxide and 1% oxigen; it is pumped into the silos from below and at the same time an electronic analyser monitors gas concentrations so as to create a totally aseptic atmosphere within the silo.

The equipment is equipped with all safety systems required for gas plants (blocking systems in absence of gas, cooling water etc.) and a drying system for the generated gas.
